From November 15–16, 2025 , 16 Guadalupe SAR volunteers and 10 volunteers from the Center Point Volunteer Fire Department successfully completed Ground Search & Rescue Level 1 Technician (GSAR1) training. The course included classroom instruction, land navigation, search tactics, field skills, and a night operation — all designed to prepare volunteers to operate effectively during real-world ground search missions. This marks a major milestone in our mission to serve and protect the communities of the Texas Hill Country through dedicated volunteer search and rescue efforts. This designation allows Guadalupe SAR to receive tax-deductible donations, apply for grants, and expand our ability to train, equip, and deploy qualified responders
