16 Guadalupe SAR Volunteers Earn GSAR1 Certification

From November 15–16, 2025, 16 Guadalupe SAR volunteers and 10 volunteers from the Center Point Volunteer Fire Department successfully completed Ground Search & Rescue Level 1 Technician (GSAR1) training.
The course included classroom instruction, land navigation, search tactics, field skills, and a night operation — all designed to prepare volunteers to operate effectively during real-world ground search missions.
With this accomplishment, all 16 Guadalupe SAR participants are now certified GSAR1 technicians, strengthening our capability to serve communities across the Hill Country.
We appreciate the ongoing collaboration with Center Point VFD, whose participation helps enhance regional search and rescue readiness.
